QUT Indigenous Education Projects Unit aims to support schools and communities to ‘Close the Gap’ for Indigenous Australians through the implemention actions outlined in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Action Plan 2010-2014 (the Action Plan). The Queensland University of Technology established the Indigenous Education Projects Unit to develop partnerships that work collaboratively to progress the goals of the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Policy and the Melbourne Declaration. The IEP strives to ensure that plans and strategies for Indigenous Education involve authentic Indigenous community involvement and promote the value of Indigenous knowledges and ways of working.
